Restoration of a Victorian-era window – cleaning

After corroded old lead cames are carefully removed, unpainted glass is cleaned by immersion in a cleaning solution. Old putty, house paint and a century of grime is gently soaked away, leaving the glass sparkling clean and ready for new lead.
